My name is Kristine Kvinnesland, I am 32 years old, and I am based in Karmøy, Rogaland, Norway. I have always dreamed of having a dog, but it was not until I became an adult that I finally had the opportunity to make that dream come true.

In 2019, my first dog came into my life: Archie, a male Eurasier. He became the beginning of something far greater than I could ever have imagined.

Archie gave me not only a deeper understanding of dogs, but also a completely new quality of life. Through him, I experienced how much comfort, security and joy a dog can bring, and he helped me cope with anxiety in a whole new way. It was through Archie that I truly realised that breeding was something I wanted to pursue. A desire to give others the same happiness and companionship that he has given me. ❤︎

I fell especially in love with the Eurasier because of its wonderful temperament, good health, beautiful appearance and ideal size. I also appreciate that it is a larger breed without being as demanding as some other breeds, while still being calm indoors and deeply affectionate towards its family.

My interest in Japanese dog breeds, however, began long before I got my first dog. When I was just nine years old, I watched Silver Fang for the first time, a series that left a lasting impression on me. Through it, I became fascinated by the strength, loyalty and distinctive character of Japanese dog breeds. That fascination has stayed with me ever since, and the series still holds a very special place in my heart. In many ways, this was where the foundation was laid for the interest that would eventually lead me to the Shiba Inu.

Today, my life is shared with several dogs and my partner. Our pack has grown gradually over the years, consisting of both Shiba Inu and Eurasier, and each of them has left their own unique mark on us and our everyday lives.

Here at Kennel Veaheimen, our dogs are first and foremost family, and this is the foundation of everything we do as breeders. Every puppy born here means an incredible amount to me, and I put my whole heart into finding the very best home for each and every one of them.
