Lanai was sent to Japan to compete at the highest level after earning his KanSeiken title making him eligible to compete at the 2023 NIPPO Grand National in Japan. Lanai was awarded a very prestigious award of 10th in his Soken class A. The first to ever be done by an American bred Shiba.
